Arewa is a Hausa language term for north, one of the cardinal directions. Its popular usage in contemporary Nigeria sometimes suggests a northern Nigerian regionalism or proto-nationalism. In both Nigeria and Niger Republic , Arewa is the name of very specific historical entities: in Niger and Nigeria a pre-colonial state, and in Nigeria a small local government region. Benjamin Samuel Inji  (stage name Youngbenny) was born on December 13, 1992 in kano, Nigeria. He comes from a large family and is the first of five children. Youngbenny started singing at age 14; he sang in church and never released a studio track nor album.  Youngbenny's first song featured his only brother Samkia Mumba (Gideon Samuel) in 2015.
